Enzorro and his nonna abuela

We had a South American themed fiesta, mostly because my hair is finally long enough to be
Frida Kahlo again, and little monkey was Zorro for Hallowe'en. Why Zorro? It's kind of an inside joke. But in any case, I was going to be Frida, monkey was Enzorro so obviously we made Erik be Rico Suave, and a Latin inspired party was born!!
Soooo... I was intending on making that Fibonacci striped scarf for monkey's birthday, but I'm honestly so sick of it. I spent WAAAY too long over thinking the design which didn't work out and was frogged halfway through. So then I started a more simple iteration, thinking the interesting stripe and chevron would keep things... interesting. But to no avail. I now remember why I haven't knitted a scarf since I started knitting. So boring.
So then I started some overalls for the little guy, which knit up so fast and WERE so interesting that I accidentally finished them before I got back to the scarf. At least they were finished in time for birthday celebrations...

still need to wash/block and sew buttons so not really "finished" |
And then yesterday I started the first of some leaf shaped pot holders/trivets and coasters which are SUPER fun and fast!
And I will finish that scarf before the deep winter hits... but I don't really want to. Sigh.
