Filicide and Sweat Shops?

I may have a problem.

My son is adverse to hand knits.

I know it's not the fibre, he has the same reaction to cotton, alpaca and merino alike.

It's not the colour, as he's helped me choose some of the yarns himself, and has admired the yarns as the works are in progress.

That's the strange thing.  He'll be all excited about the piece as I'm making it.  All "OOooh" and "AHhhhh" and "Dis is a me!" (this is for me)

But as soon as the piece is done and I try to try it on him it's as though the garment is poisoned or something.  I'm not Medea buddy, I'm not trying to kill you.

Yesterday I tried to get the overalls of death on him after I finally got the buttons on, and he cried until I took them off.  He was very interested in helping me choose the buttons and sewing them on... but that's where the fascination ended.

HEY!  Maybe I can teach him to knit and he will help me make the many many things on my to knit list, and I can wear all the things I want to wear and he won't care that none of them are for him!

OK, it's a plan.  My only problem now is if this plan constitutes child slavery*.

*I would just like to point out that human trifficking is real, and it is very very wrong.  If anything I would set up a Mom and Kid shop, where many food, play and nap breaks are taken and fun is had by all.
