Phase one, complete.
So now that I've officially stated that Little Monkey doesn't like to wear the things I make him, he gets over it. I guess I should thank Murphy.
I finished this last night!!
He likes it! I like it too. I made this one with a slit up the back to create ear flaps and some forehead protection. He will be a warm boy.
I also finished the "little things" that I alluded to last week, but I can't show you what they are yet. Suffice it to say that Little Monkey really likes them and was cuddling with them and hiding them in his couch fort. Until I hid them during nap time. I was worried he'd ruin them before Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas and couch forts, we have begun getting ready around here. The tree is not up yet, but the Advent wreath is going, the outdoor lights are shining, the door wreaths are up and all the little knick-knackey things are out.
Little Monkey really likes hiding in his couch fort with this tree. He also has a light-up snowman that gets admission.
I took out the Nativity sets, even though I usually wait a little longer to bring them out. Mine is set up sans Jesus, of course, but Little Monkey's has the whole cast so he can play with them.
He took "Mummy Mary" upstairs for a nap yesterday, the Magi have been giving presents to everyone in the house, and the Angel plays "Away in a Manger" non-stop. He remembers a surprising amount of the lyrics and is absolutely adorable as he sings them.
AND I have officially finished the knitting portion of the Christmas gift list!! There's still some finishing and blocking to do, but the knitting is done! Which means I had the choice to knit either my own Christmas socks OR finish my Years Long Tree Skirt Project.
I was a good girl and left the sock yarn upstairs.

Can you see my Magi hiding behind the palm trees? They are slowly making their way over to "Bethlehem" in the dining room. I have my fun. |

This is what responsibility looks like. |
