Holy Sickeness, Batman!
Whelp. It's official. I've had strep throat for 9 weeks and it's no fun.
At first I thought it was just a flu at Easter, then I got a cold, then I got strep again and finally went to see my doctor who quite rightly gave me some penicillin. 3 days after finishing the medication, it re-emerged and I went back for even stronger anti-biotics, which resulted in the lovely rash I'm sporting now.
I'll spare you from looking at any pictures, but it's very itchy and it is EVERYWHERE. Oh well, at least it's not scarlet fever or some other terrible version of strep that my body wanted to try on. Did you know you can get strep on your bum? Neither did I until little monkey got it. We have been a very sad streppy family this past month. Here's hoping it's gone for good.
The rash, on the other hand, should take a couple of days to clear up.
I've also been battling a sore and clicky wrist. I had a tensor bandage on for a week, which helped a great deal, but two days without it and it's starting to click again. I am now realizing, as I'm firmly in the middle of the third paragraph, that typing is not helping me so I should keep this short.
The wrist and the strep has NOT stopped my blanket progress. Here take a look!

It's long enough that monkey can snuggle under it while I work on it! Yes he's watching YouTube, sometimes mom just wants to chill with some coffee and yarn first thing in the morning, OK? |
I'm almost at the pink row! |
